Drone Mapping in the dunes of Noord-Holland
19 August 2023
Coastal dune slacks exhibit fascinating natural phenomena that create a cold air pool, and a unique microclimate, impacting biodiversity within the dune ecosystem. As a continuation of our mapping efforts using LiDAR data, we partnered with AlfaDrone to map selected sites using drones. NH Nieuws joined us on the field day and some details are published on Weer.nl.

Micro-dams promoting development and transforming communities
May 2021
Water scarcity is a critical global issue affecting billions of people. Access to clean and safe drinking water is essential for health, well-being, and survival. As freshwater resources become increasingly limited due to factors like climate change, population growth, and pollution, the need for effective water management and conservation becomes more urgent than ever. Since 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the African Development Bank, has been constructing numerous micro-dams across the country.
